Ok, it was more Day with Thomas than with history but it was a great day non of the less.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may seen that for the Mother’s Day weekend I had a little road trip to Calgary with my boys. The little one has an obsession with Thomas the tank engine, and Calgary Heritage Park has every year a Day with Thomas, so that is how we decided to spend Mother’s Day.
As I mentioned, this was held in Heritage Park, so beside the Thomas and all the toys and kids entreatment, park was very interesting place to spend a day. As you can see for yourself.
And what better way to spend your day running around the park than a perfect casual distress denim outfit. Outfit perfect for running around after your 5 year old and still chic enough. After all, when you are a mother, you have to think about practicality as much as fashion side. Don’t you agree?
Weather here is quite moody so one day we are in the short sleeve and the next one we need some fury color jacket outfit. Just because the Mother Nature cannot make up her mind, it doesn’t mean that I cannot be stylish and still keep warm. But no matter how much I love this fury jacket, I cannot wait for some warm weather and some summer clothing.
However, it is a long weekend and it is time to enjoy some family time.
So have a safe and fabulous weekend everyone and Happy Easter (if you are celebrating).
Sorry for being MIA lately, but life happened and something had to give, but I am back in business now.
And in the mean time while I was absent from the blog, spring decided to finally shows up so that we can finally ditch those heavy coats and exchange them for cute spring coats and jackets and all those cute clothes.
I’m so happy for nice weather (just hope it will not snow again) and longer days. Not to mention all the spring fashion trends.
Trends can sometimes be scary but at the same time they can be a lot of fun. Like this year’s (and previous one) trend, embroidery. And while I just love embroidered jackets, tops, bags, shoes…(you get the picture, I love embroidery) embroidered jeans can be a little bit tricky to pull off.
As we all know embroidered jeans are amazing, and they look fabulous on those girls you see in the magazines or even in your Instagram feed, but on the plus size, 40 years old women, they can easily end up…well…let’s just say, not so well.
So while I was slowly abandoning my dreams of embroidery jeans outfit, good people from Dorothy Perkins decided to be my fairy Godmother and grant my wish for perfect embroidery jeans fit for any size (and any age).
Not just that these jeans are great quality and fit (not to mention the price), they have just a touch of embroidery that are fit for anyone. Not overwhelming but still right on trend.
So as you can see, there is always a way to wear some trends. You just need to find a perfect fit.
