Here we go again.
New year, new beginnings and the totally clean slate. Of course, this is also the time when we are all in business of make lists of goals and new year’s resolutions so that they can be our guidance through this new year.
And, of course, I am there with the rest of you. I love writing goals and resolutions that give me a mapped road for the year ahead, but also, I am with the majority of people that ditch most of those goals and resolutions buy the end of January. You know what I am talking about, right?
And why is that? Well, not because of our lack of desires for those goals and resolutions to be achieved, but just for the simple fact that we do tend to overwhelm ourselves with to many things at once.
Beginning of the year and a clean slate does feel like we can conquer anything, but that is also a reason that our lists are miles long. Loose 50 lb, learn 5 languages, travel the world, start a new business and earn a lot of money….sounds familiar???
That is the reason this year my list is short. I have in total 3 goals(we will talk about them later) that are big enough to keep me motivated but not to overwhelming for giving up on them so fast, and for my resolutions…well…they pretty much can be summed up in two main things.
First one is to cut the negativity from my life. Starting with myself and my own negativity towards myself especially and then cutting negativity coming from everyone and everything around me. I’m erasing it all of it out of my life.
And the second thing is to stress less. To stop stressing about the toys all around the house, dust and dirty dishes, and all the mundane things that we all tend to stress about. Because my kids will grow so fast (and I will actually miss those toys), dust will always come back, no matter how much and often I clean (so there is no point of stressing or rushing), you get where I’m going with this, right? My point…stress less.
