Holidays are here and we are all in a need for some amazing Christmas party outfit. So you can imagine my thoughts when West Edmonton Mall invited me, with some other Edmonton bloggers, for Black Friday shopping and Snapchat / Instagram takeover. I was jumping out of joy and more than happy to accept. I mean who doesn’t want to spend a day with friends shopping in one of the largest malls in the North America?
And West Edmonton Mall is the perfect place for shopping. Not just that it is the place with the huge variety of retailers to cover all your needs. From fast fashion stores like Forever 21 and H&M to more luxurious ones like Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. Even if you are not into a fashion there are stores for you to, gaming, fitness or decor. Whatever you need you will find it here. But West Edmonton Mall is not just a place for shopping, it is also a place to where you can have a lots of fun. Because WEM is also a home of an amazing water park with waves and varieties of slides, indoor skating rink and an amusement park (and did I mentioned that they have a full size Christopher Columbus’ ship replica) as well as varieties of restaurants to satisfy every foodie’s taste, coffee shops and even couple of hotels.
We started our day early and we spent around 12 hours at the mall (yes, you read that correctly, 12 hours), but to be honest it felt like a couple of hours. I guess it is true what they say, time flies when you have fun. But what else you can expect when you send three girls for a day of shopping (and when sales are involved).
And it was not just shopping that was fun, after all we had to rest at some point in time, and for lunch we found a perfect spot. In the middle of Bourbon Street there is a perfect steakhouse and bar with an amazing burgers called Mr. Mikes. If you are ever in WEM you should definitively go and check them out (their potato chips are soooo good).
For dinner time we picked beautiful restaurant called L2 closed to Fantasyland Hotel that is perfect and quiet for romantic dinners or if you are just up to for a great food in a really amazing ambient. Not to mention that it was a perfect end of our day.
But to go back to my Christmas party outfit that I found at the Addition Elle. Dress was an obvious choice, because it is just what I like, simple, classic and in amazing color. Jacket was a different story. It was a love at first site, but it did surprised me because I usually do not go for items like that. I’m usually not into fuzzy things (well I thought I wasn’t) but this jacket just felt perfect, if you know what I mean.
As you can see, my Black Friday shopping day at the West Edmonton Mall was a total success. Not just that I had amazing time, I found my perfect Christmas party outfit (and on the sale for that matter) and some other cute things that you will see soon on the blog.
So if you are in Edmonton area and you are into having an amazing shopping day, make sure you head to WEM. And even though that The Black Friday is over, Boxing Week is just around the corner.
